Located in the heart of Antrim, Medics Aesthetics is a doctor-led skin clinic offering a comprehensive range of professional treatments including Skincare, Body Contouring, PRP Therapy, Botulinum Toxin, Fillers, Polynucleotides, Exosomes and Weight Management , all utilising the latest in aesthetic technology.

Founded by Dr. Waheed Akhtar, who comes from a family of traditional physicians, his passion has always centred on critical care and the management of aging and pain. After earning his medical degree in Lahore in 1994, he qualified as a doctor and, in 2009, registered with the General Medical Council. He has since gained extensive experience working primarily in NHS A&E departments across London.

Over time, Dr. Waheed Akhtar’s interest shifted towards Aesthetic Medicine and Pain Management. After honing his expertise in these areas for many years, he decided to establish his first aesthetic practice in Antrim – a place that felt like home from the moment he began working in A&E at Antrim Area Hospital in June 2020.
